Part-Time Van/Bus Driver
Position Summary

We are seeking a responsible, safety-focused, and professional part-time Van/Bus Driver to transport guests to and from Listen events and other approved destinations. The driver will ensure the safety, timeliness, and comfort of all passengers while upholding all driving protocols and company policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safely operate a company van or bus according to a scheduled route.Complete in-house vehicle and route training with Sean prior to beginning duties.
  • Maintain a clean driving record and follow all traffic laws and company safety regulations.
  • Always prioritize the safety of all passengers during transport.
  • Respond appropriately and efficiently to emergency situations; knowledge of emergency protocols required.
  • Must hold valid CPR certification.
  • Ensure all guests using the service are paying the required $25/month for rides to Listen.
  • Operate and manage the time card system accurately.
  • Coordinate with Denae regarding ride payment arrangements for yourself if you are receiving Social Security or other special considerations.
  • Maintain professional boundaries with all passengers. Personal or unrelated issues are not to be handled during driving hours. As a driver you are not ti be making decisions on program matters.
  • Follow a strict no distracted driving policy – phone use while driving is strictly prohibited.
  • Choose the most efficient and safe routes to destinations.
  • Do not charge the company for any driving outside of official Listen events or approved trips.
  • Complete regular vehicle checks and upkeep; ensure all guests exit the vehicle before any maintenance or fueling.
  • Defensive driving course is recommended (company-paid), though not mandatory.
Requirements
  • Valid state driver’s license.
  • Clean driving record (background check may be required).
  • CPR certification (or willingness to obtain prior to starting).
  • Ability to follow protocol and act quickly in emergencies.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Must be dependable, punctual, and professional at all times.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Familiarity with basic vehicle maintenance and safety checks.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience as a driver, especially in a passenger or shuttle capacity.
  • Completion of a certified Defensive Driving Course (paid by employer if not already obtained).
